12 days of blogging: Day 2- National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989)

In this films from the National Lampoon Vacation series we see the Griswold family preparing for a perfect Christmas which as we know there will be a lot of hilarious antics trying to prevent them from this. I was sick a few days ago and this was on the telly so I thought why the heck not and just watched it, I mean who can resist a National Lampoon film, eh.
The film stars the Chevy Chase, Beverly D'Angelo, Juliette Lewis and Johnny Galeki.

Synopsis
The Griswold family are trying to have the perfect family Christmas but this turns out to be increasingly difficult with all of the obnoxious family around and everything Clark does just seems to go awfully (and hilariously might I add). Some of the antics include putting up the Christmas lights on the house, Cutting down the Christmas tree and dealing with the family. Clarks only silver lining seems to be the Christmas bonus he's expecting but considering it's the Griswold family it's not going to be easy to get.

I liked this film, it isn't the best of the Vacation series but it is funny and after-all it is a Christmas classic. A little fact of the films is that even though it is a Christmas film, Christmas day is never seen as the film ends on Christmas Eve. Anyway the film was cool and fun and doesn't take itself to seriously and I like that, it's great for the family and great for Christmas so get watching.
