Today it has been 2 years since Elizabeth Taylor passed away on the 23rd of march 2011 at the age of 79. Her birthday was less then a month ago on the 27 of February she would have been 81. She was a wonderful and beautifully talented woman who will forever be missed.

I FINALLY OWN AN ACTORS ENTIRE FILMOGRAPHY!!!
Yes that is right I own someone's entire filmography. Unfortunately that person is....James Dean. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with owning all of James Deans film in fact i am over the moon, so happy I could cry. The only unfortunate thing is that the amount of films he made was very minimal, and by minimal I mean 3, They called these films the big 3. James Dean only made three films but these films made a big impact on society so I am proud to own anything this great. The three films he made were:
I like to call them the performance (East Of Eden), the iconic (Rebel Without A Cause) and the epic (Giant).
My personal favourite of his films is East of Eden which was the first of his films that I saw and was the first of the big three. I thought James Dean did his best performance in this film, actually I think his performance in this film is one of the best I have ever seen
James Dean only made three films because at the prime of his career he died in a horrific car crash at the age of 24. Even though he only did a small amount of films he made a big impact into film history and society.

MOVIE MARATHON!!!!!!!
Unfortunately for the past few days I have been infected with and awful disease called...the flu. I also have not been sleeping well at all while I'm ill so I have been trying to keep myself busy and to do that I have been watching films. Today especially I have watched a fair amount of films which are all new to me. I will list my little marathon below and rate them, hopefully I will give one a review soon:

I rate it 7.1 (mostly because I love it when Carole Lombard sticks her tongue out during a fight, she is as cute as a button)

I rate it 7.4 (because I just love cute films like this that make you feel all warm inside)

I rate this 6.9 (Watch it just for Carmen Miranda, she is fab-u-lous. It is a cute little film and worth a watch)

I rate this film 8.1 (I enjoyed it so much more then what I expected and it evoked so many emotions in me and the ending is so sad)

I rate this movie a ....7.0 (because some of the scenes were beautifully done and were heart-wrenching)

The film will be rated a 7.3 (because of the scenes were Katharine Hepburn is drunk and acting out Shakespeare...genius)
and finally a film which I have decided is my new ultimate favourite film ever is....................................................................................................................

I rate this film a solid 10 WOOHOO YAAAAY!!!!!!!!!! (I can't flaw this film it is everything I look for it has comedy, drama, an amazing cast with the devilishly gorgeous Lucille Ball who is mighty funny. It is also probably the best performance and character that I have seen Ginger Rogers play she is fantastic. Katharine Hepburn did great herself and this is now my new favourite of her films beating out Guess Who's Coming To Dinner) I love it so much...
Well that is all of the films I have watched in a single day. Now because I can feel my headache rising again I must go and sit in a corner and cry, hoping that I won't be ill on Christmas.......
- Nothing Sacred (1937)

Joan Fontaine's B-day!!!!!

Today is Joan Fontaine's birthday, I repeat it is Joan Fontaine's birthday on the 22nd of October !!!!!!!!! YAAAY. Oh and just wait till you find out the age of this living legend.....95 yes that is right 95, ninety-five years of age. She has lived for ninety-five years that is amazing that's is even longer than Mickey Rooney (who is 92). It must be amazing to have lived such an incredible and just be able to sit in a rocking chair thinking about the incredible life you have led. In honour of one of my favourite actresses I think that I shall review one of her films and because I have already reviewed Rebecca (which is just fabulous) I shall review Jane Eyre.

This is my favourite adaptation of Charlotte Brontes "Jane Eyre". It's an incredibly dark and sinister version of the novel, but what can you expect when Orson Welles is starring in it. This film was made in 1943 and starred Joan Fontaine and Orson Welles. I'm not going to do the plot just because the ending is not what you would expect and because it is one of the most celebrated books in history so if you don't know the plot then shame on you.
I really like this film because it is so sinister. The scenery is amazing and really creepy it is set in a dark and foggy moor this kinda sets the tone for the entire film because you know something serious is going to happen, and it won't end very well. Joan Fontaine is her flawless self in this production and so is Orson Welles who is ultimately playing a grumpy, misunderstood character which is completely out of the ordinary for him. This film also features a young Margaret O'Brian as Adele and I think she is just adorable as usual, she really lightens up the production making a few cute and cheery scenes among the misery. This film also features a young Elizabeth Taylor as Helen. Joan Fontaine's' performance in this film always reminds me of her character in Rebecca because they are both sweet, innocent and confused a lot of the time. They are both tormented by a woman as well.
