Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953)

'Diamonds are a girl's best friend'. Gentlemen prefer blondes was the third Marilyn Monroe film I had ever seen and the first of Jane Russell's. The film itself is intriguingly cheesy. I have to say I this film is not Marilyn's best performance but I did enjoy Jane's very snappy, scrappy character. For me my favourite seen was when Jane's character dressed up as Lorelei (Monroe) she was hilarious and did it well shaking whatever her momma gave her. The costumes were just darling they were glitzy and full of glamour but I would have expected nothing less. the film overall was exactly what I expected it to be, bright and cheesy and not edgy but in this case it is a good thing as that works very well for this film.
Overall I rate this film a 6.4 out of 10.
Now be prepared because here comes a GIF ATTACK!!!!!!!
